Abstract

The narrative image occupies a significant position in literary studies. Its greatest value lies in its ability to organize the entire human experience, revealing the deeper meaning of its content and structure. The image is the essence of literature and its aesthetic and artistic focus. Literature is a visual art that harnesses the image to inform and communicate, on the one hand, and to influence the recipient, either positively or negatively, on the The sea occupies a fundamental place in creative writing, especially the Arab novel, which is based on brilliance and productivity and which accompanies the narrative image that is mentally constructed according to the sum of imaginations. We find that the sea has occupied an important place in its space, and the worlds of the sea have tempted Arab novelists, headed by the sea novelist (Hanna Mina), who said: I am the sea... and the sea is me... I do not write a word except that it carries from its waves, its salt and its scent .other.

The sea has remained a point of attraction and inspiration. It has been depicted on the creative and artistic level, with multiple connotations, recording its presence on celebrities, and through distinctive libraries that attract celebrity visitors to park their cars, to be in the hands of everyone looking for a cultural outlet, to choose a time for it in the late hours of the night to immerse themselves in science and knowledge. Inhaling the scent of the sea and the psychological comfort and mental clarity it brings, preparing for beachgoers a pleasant trip and a desire to drink from the vessels of books. I chose from these books the novel (The Ship, the Sea, and She), which represents the character of the Eastern man with chivalry, manliness, and pride, with limited features. It is the character of (Badr Al-Zarqa), who loves from afar. He watches the beautiful woman he loves, but at the same time he doesn't want to express his feelings because he has pride and arrogance that prevent him from getting close and confessing his love. The novel also tells the story of a sea voyage that includes a number of Lebanese people, and the hero of the novel gets to know other distinct characters, each of whom has a dominant character and predicts their reactions, especially those who are characterized by harsh and repulsive natures.
