This term poetic films or (poetic cinema) appeared as a theory of a new trend in cinema with this name through the famous Italian director (Pier Paolo Pasolini) who was the first to consider it during the Pesaro Film Festival in 1965, and later worked on it in his films and raised - and still does - a lot of controversy.
And (poetics) or poetics as a term was first used by Aristotle in his famous book Poetics when he investigated the artistic characteristics of literary events that constitute a distinct presence in his era. From it, the term was borrowed to investigate and reveal the poetic character or soul present in various artistic and literary works. The poetics of cinema or poetic cinema does not mean the cinema that relies in its films on poetic quotation, i.e. the poetic poem in making its films, but rather it is the cinema that contains or carries the features and characteristics of poetry and the poetic soul in its films, such as brevity, condensation, metaphor, metaphor, simile, and other characteristics and components of poetry, so that we have poetic films with a subjective vision, not a purely objective one, that expresses the inner workings of the characters in the film, their ideas and philosophy, which are a reflection of the ideas and opinions of the director, the filmmaker, his vision and philosophical position on life and the world. The researcher divided the research into four chapters: the first chapter is the methodological framework, and the second chapter consists of two topics: the first topic: poetics, the term, the concept and the origin, and the second: poetic cinema, the term and the concept. As for the third chapter, it is the research procedures and includes the applied aspect, as the researcher will analyze a film sample. It is followed by the fourth chapter, which is the results and conclusions, and includes the results and conclusions that the researcher reached from his analysis of the film samples. In conclusion, a list of sources and references will be attached to the research.
