The approach of the historian lbn siid al –Maghreb in dealing with the events of the Fatimid state through the book the bright stars in thejewels of the city of Cairo

There are many Moroccan travelers who left us a great cultural legacy in various fields, and among the most important of them was the Moroccan traveler Ibn Said, who excelled in particular in the field of geography. In addition to that, the man enjoyed other qualities and characteristics, as he was a writer and a poet, and without a doubt, his trip to Egypt It was one of the most important pieces of literature that he documented and left to us in the field of geographical travel. IbnSaeed recorded the news of Egypt in a book he called nujumalzahrat fi hadratalqahirat ,which is part of his well-known book Al-Maghrib fi Al-Maghrib. He focused on conveying the news of the Fatimid caliphs, and perhaps what distinguished his book from others was that He verified the veracity of the news and narration through historians who preceded him. In order to facilitate the process of following the study, the research was presented on more than one axis, whether related to the nature of the book, its information, the most important information and its sources, then writing the biography and history of the author, and the other section conveyed the news contained in the book about the Fatimid state, especially the leaders, ministers, judges, and the economic conditions of the Fatimids.
