The religious interpretation of history in the book Anbaa al-Ghamr fi Anbaa al-Umar by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani

Abstract

The research talks about one of the most important approaches used by most Muslim historians - throughout the ages - in their historical writings to interpret some of the incidents that occurred at the time, which is the approach of religious interpretation of historical events. The unseen for some of the events of history, takes them out of their natural framework to another framework, so that the role of humans in their manufacture is completely absent. It seems that this was due to the religious belief of these historians that the religious interpretation enters as a direct cause like these events, but rather it is the maker of them without anyone else. One of the most prominent historians who took this approach is the historian (Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, d. In addition to the importance of studying history objectively away from any other influences, especially dogmatic ones, due to the great importance of history in the life of societies because of its great benefit to knowing the experiences of previous nations and trying to benefit from those experiences.               

 From here and due to the importance of this topic, we decided to take it as a topic for our research, which we named "The Religious Interpretation of History in the Book of Anbaa Al-Ghamr fi Abaa Al-Omar by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani". We have used the descriptive analytical approach in tracking the events in which the historian presented his religious interpretations of the historicity and their narration, analysis, and response to them according to the nature of these events, which we divided into incidents of a doctrinal nature, and incidents of a political, military and natural nature.
