The Effect of using 3D printer in implementation of pottery sculpture Designs

Abstract

     Education is facing many challenges, such as technological development, which may cause gaps in educational institutions that require them to undertake many development programs, for example digital art programs, so this study addressed the problem of research "What is the impact of the use of 3D printer in the implementation Pottery Sculpture Designs "This study aims to identify and utilize 3D printing, and to explain the key words. The research also included an explanation of 3D printing and 3D sculpture programs.

     The study population consisted of the students of the third stage of the morning and evening studies in the Department of Art Education in the College of Education.The sample of the study is the morning study students, which number (22) students. The researchers used the experimental method, and a questionnaire was developed as a tool to collect data from the study population.

      One of the most important results of the study, the three-dimensional printer helps through its technological capabilities to implement ideas that seem at first glance fictional and unrealistic because they deal with small molecules do not see the naked eye, but for students with limited technical capabilities, the results showed their ability to digital sculpture easily As a result of their ability to accommodate the program, most of the models done by the students took only a few minutes.

  One of the most important conclusions reached by the researchers that the application of 3D printer technology in the teaching of sculpture material gives the possibility of the student can employ in other areas and applications such as making models of theaters and handicrafts and elements of art and anatomy, and the most important recommendations reached by the researchers calls for attention to modern techniques, including programs of design, sculpture and digital drawing in technical education, which aims to develop the mental and skill capabilities of students and make them the focus of the educational process,  the most important proposals reached by the researchers, to study the impact of 3D printer technology on other subjects, such as ceramics, murals and handicrafts, and then followed by appendices and sources of research.
