Abstract
The aim of the current research is to find out the effect of strategy of (Think - Pair – share) in the achievement of second intermediate grade students in Quran and Islamic Education. In order to achieve this aim, the researcher randomly selected Al-Kifah Al-Arabi Girls School in Baghdad province to conduct the experiment. And she was randomly select the class (A) of(30) female students as an control group studied Quran and Islamic education using the traditional method, and the class (B) represent the number of(30) female experimental students group, which studied Quran and Islamic education using the strategy of (Think - Pair – share).
The two students groups compared statistically by using the T-test for two independent samples, and the chi square used for the (intelligence, age calculated by months the educational achievement of parents, The first course of the year 2017 - 2018 intertribal test) and there were no significant differences between the two groups in these variables.
After the researcher identified the Subject belonging to Quran of the second semester in the English language, the researcher formulated 139 behavioral aims, And prepared educational plans for the subjects to be taught, in accordance with the strategy (Think – pair - Share), and the traditional way.
The researcher prepared the research tool, which consists of (40) paragraphs of type (multiple choice), after calculating the difficulty and the discrimination strength and the wrong effectiveness of the alternatives for each paragraph of the test, as well as the calculation of honesty, and the extraction of stability using the equation (Kyodar – Richardson), who reached (0.833). The researcher applied the tool mentioned in the study sample to the experimental and control groups using the T-test for two independent samples in the treatment of statistical data. The results of the study were as follows: The experimental group, which was studied according to (Think_Pair_Share) strategy, surpassed the control group studied in the traditional way. According to the research results , the researcher reached a number of conclusions ,and made several recommendations
including :Adopting the (Think _Pair _Share) strategy in the teaching of Quran and Islamic education for the second intermediate grade as a strategy that proved effective in teaching this article.Include the principles of the strategy of (Think _Pair _Share) and its steps within the syllabus for students in curriculum and teaching methods in the collages
