The Russian Position from the Western Geopolitical Perspective, the Position of a state is one of the important natural factors which of effect its international relation. It is sometimes regarded a determinant of its foreign policy, and not only that, but it constitutes a background behind which the Pattern of Political foreign conduct of the state lies. The outcomes of place are reflected on its policy within its territorial and international surrounding, since it leads towards both approach and divergence in the international relation. Besides, position is one of those natural factors which assist the political decision maker in forming his political, economic, social and long term strategic decisions, taking into consideration the national interests of the state. Position affects the capacities of peoples in their relations; therefore, politics is connected with land from the point of view of geopolitics. It has paved the way for the political activity, forming what the state should be, and contributing, whether individually or collectively with other natural factors in determining the geopolitical character of the state and the pattern of rule form of interactions due to the fact that the geographic surrounding transforms the political conduct into a subsidiary of geographic dimension. From what has been mentioned above, the present study has tackled the position of Federal Russia in both old and modern perspectives within a security framework.
