Abstract

This research discusses the fragmentation and alienation of identity as the most prominent problems of identity, as it is a central dilemma that emerged in the writer's narrative, as the research sought to investigate the mechanisms of identity formation and their relationship with social and political changes, by relying on the Socio's textual approach, and showing the impact of these transformations on the awareness and trends of the characters. The research has proven that Mungiz Saad Saeed, the novelist, is based on the accountability of identity in its social and humanitarian centre. The novels show the multiplicity of forms of religious, political and social alienation; because of the marginalisation and narrowness faced by identity, which generates a sense of alienation, and the novels highlight a form of self-alienation, as it is an internal alienation suffered by identity. Novels have sought to employ sedued personalities to show cases of identity alienation and fragmentation.
