An educational design based on Nelson’s theory and its impact on cognitive modeling among female middle school students

The aim of this research is to investigate the effect of educational design based on Nelson’s theory on female middle school students. To achieve this objective, an experimental design with a post-test for two equivalent groups was employed. The groups were matched in terms of prior knowledge, previous academic achievement, and intelligence. The sample consisted of 64 female students, equally divided into an experimental group and a control group, with 32 students in each. A Cognitive Modeling Test, comprising 35 items, was developed for first-year female middle school students. The validity and reliability of the test were established, and appropriate statistical methods were applied to analyze the data. The findings of the research demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed educational design.
