Family Immunization and School Guidance: The Duality of Integration and Sustainability / A Social Field Study in Baghdad Schools

Abstract

The family is the foundation upon which society is built. It serves as a school for raising children and a source of happiness and security. It also plays a role in promoting psychological, mental, and physical health. It also contributes to spreading the values ​​of compassion, affection, and respect and appreciation for the elderly. In addition, the family is a fortress that protects members of society from drugs and addiction, and it is the main center for preparing a new generation full of energy and vitality. Unfortunately, the family today suffers from severe attacks, as it has been exposed to material assaults and sexual exploitation. Which led to its disintegration and division. It is difficult to understand the reasons behind this, but irresponsible media, pornographic channels, and uncontrolled communication via the Internet, families were exposed to external challenges, along with internal challenges, for example. Lack of culture and many problems and the occurrence of arbitrary divorces, external interference, violence and betrayal, and external challenges such as: sexual problems and the blatant customs of early marriage, the creation of a new type of illegal marriage, birth control and the inferior view of motherhood, addiction and drugs, harassment, rape, abortion and many mental illnesses and the loss of youth, the spread of crime, and the displacement of children. As the social changes and challenges of the twenty-first century impose increased attention on guidance services in schools, this study was conducted to identify the role of school guidance and the preventive and protective measures that families can adopt to confront various challenges and attacks. The focus was on the importance of values ​​and ethics. This research was conducted to identify the role of school counseling and the preventive and protective measures families can adopt to confront various challenges and attacks. Emphasis was placed on the importance of values ​​and ethics, as well as the provision of specialized educational counselors with the necessary skills to support students. It was also suggested that targeted media outlets be established, and that spouses be educated about their rights and responsibilities and the art of dealing with each other from the students' perspective The study sample consisted of 200 parents of students, and the Family Disintegration Attitudes Scale was used. The researcher relied on frequencies and percentages in the statistical processing, and the research results revealed the following:

1. The results showed that behavioral problems such as rebellion and stubbornness among adolescents are primarily due to family deprivation, represented by the loss of one or both parents.
2. The study revealed that collaboration between family and school promotes positive outcomes, such as improved student behavior in the classroom and increased parents' awareness of their educational role
