This research examines the English Navigation Acts of the seventeenth century and their influence on England’s economy. These laws were imposed to consolidate English control over maritime trade and strengthen its colonial dominance. The study reviews the impact of these acts on commercial activity between England and its colonies, as well as their effects on key economic sectors such as agriculture, industry, and trade exchange. The research also highlights the social and political reactions triggered by the enforcement of these policies, including the spread of smuggling and the rise of popular resistance due to the economic pressures imposed on colonial populations. The study posits that these laws were not merely economic tools but also played an active role in shaping nationalist consciousness among the colonized peoples, ultimately fueling their demands for independence. By analyzing these dynamics, the research aims to provide a deep understanding of the relationship between colonial trade legislation and historical transformations, illustrating how these laws helped shape the political and economic trajectory of the era.
