Ethnography: the concept, emergence, and methodology: The need for these studies emerged in response to the competition among political and economic institutions in the West, to influence social reality, control it through the media, and direct it in ways that serve their interests. For this reason, specialized research centers were established in this field, dedicated to studying the social and psychological characteristics of human societies, in order to expand mass communication and use the results of these studies to serve their objectives.
