The Status of Fatimah al-Zahra in the Works of Sheikh al-Saduq (D. 381 AH)

Upon reflecting on the noble biography of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and the infallible Imams (peace be upon them), we can clearly observe the special respect and honor they bestowed upon Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her), as evidenced by the unique distinctions they granted her. Fatimah al-Zahra was a model of the Muslim woman, an example and a role model, and numerous works have been written about her, both old and new. Scholars from the early centuries of the Hijra took it upon themselves to document the texts related to Fatimah al-Zahra, narrated by the Prophet and the infallible Imams (peace be upon them). One such scholar was Sheikh Muhammad bin Ali bin Babawayh al-Qummi, one of the most prominent scholars of the Imamate in the 4th century AH (d. 381 AH), who authored several works addressing the personality and status of Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her). Al-Saduq, another scholar, transmitted numerous hadiths concerning her distinguished position and angelic character. Our research explores the status of Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in the eyes of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), her role within the marital home with her husband, and the praise showered upon her by the Imams (peace be upon them).
