Abstract

The Book of Songs included stories, news, and novels made from the imagination of narrators who possessed the skill and expertise to compose them, and to attract the audience of readers, for fanatical reasons, whether literary, social, or artistic, in addition to the material temptations and profits that they generated from narrating them. The material incentive had a great impact on the stories of raids, and we must not forget what the material did in distorting the media, especially in the era after the Rightly-Guided Caliphs. The share of the vagabond poets, as some of those who emerged in the raiding invasion, was more common among the narrators and storytellers because they found in it a richness that attracted the recipients to hear or read it with passion, so we found the stories of the heroes' adventures widely targeted and exposed to the danger of the pens of some storytellers, so they began to exploit the single news and the single story, helped by their literary and cultural capabilities, fitness and intelligence, by weaving fabricated news and stories, assuming their chains of transmission and placing their text and attributing them to a suitable character for them.

As for the mechanism of our study of the news of the poets' raids that we doubt the authenticity of and think are fabricated by the narrators, it is:

_ Presenting the stories of the Book of Songs to the historical and literary sources that preceded it in composition.

_ Examining the chains of transmission of the stories, by returning to the sources of biographies of famous figures, we found them to be assumed chains of transmission that delude the reader into believing in the authenticity of the news.

_ Verifying poetry by returning to the poetry collections, collections, selections, and others.
