The Relationship Between Cyber Defamation and Suicide Among Adolescent Girls

The research aimed to reveal the relationship between electronic defamation and suicide among teenage girls, and the research method was determined by the descriptive survey method, based on its data that are compatible with the nature of the research, as the research community included adolescents from various educational levels in Iraqi schools affiliated with Anbar Governorate - the city of Ramadi. As for the sample, it was selected from the community to represent its characteristics
It consisted of female adolescents only, numbering 167 adolescent girls, selected by a simple random method from the entire research population, ages: 14 - 18 years. The research tools were a scale to detect the relationship of electronic defamation to suicide among teenage girls, and after applying the scale that was prepared to achieve the goal of the current research, which is a scale to detect the relationship of electronic defamation to suicide among teenage girls, it turned out that the overall degree of the relationship of electronic defamation to suicide among teenage girls was moderate.
Based on the results of the research, it was recommended to spread awareness for both parents and users of social networking sites and applications, children, adolescents, and adults. About the dangers of being led into the unknown and trusting its mysterious users, and the growing interest in adolescence as a sensitive stage in the life of individuals, especially females, and the necessity of exploiting it with activities that keep teenagers away from electronic applications, and encouraging parents to take action and follow what their children publish on social media, and in some cases control what Their children can use it, but these procedures, and holding awareness and cultural sessions among teenage girls in particular, alert about the repercussions of suicide as a psychological phenomenon that causes teenage girls to live a disturbed and abnormal life, and holding discussions and dialogues that show the legal consequences of electronic defamation, and reducing it by enacting laws and legislation that guarantee the rights of victims. .
The researcher proposed conducting psychological studies that reflect the psychological effects of electronic defamation on all categories of youth, and conducting descriptive studies to determine the degree of spread of electronic defamation among adolescents, its causes, and ways to eliminate it, in addition to paying attention to psychological educational research that seeks to identify the relationship between electronic defamation and other psychological symptoms in adolescents.
