Abstract

The poetic image is that magical compositional power that reveals the secret of the power of poetry. The poet, with his imagination, shows us mysterious things with a new vision and new relationships, even if they are mysterious in reality. The poet’s ability emerges from his imagination in that harmony between words, meanings, images, rhythm, and the tone of letters, and even from the optimal use of figurative language that contributes to highlighting ideas and drawing images. There are poetic speeches that would not have gained immortality had it not been for the imagination that helped the poet achieve creativity that is pointed out with the finger. The poet may combine two or more aspects in one image to convey a meaning and to insist on an idea. The poet may alternate between the functions of the perceptual senses and the imaginative images.

The poet is one of the most capable and influential means of expression on the recipient. It is appropriate to mention the opinions that have been said about his poetry, and perhaps one of them is what Mr. Muslim Shaker Malik mentioned when he said, “He is a distinguished poet of high honor who possesses the elegance of literature and seriousness that he possesses. He has a long kindness and a broad scope that qualifies him to compose his poetry. He was a skilled poet and a well-known writer. He has a collection of poems, and he has beautiful poems with deep meaning about the noble leaders and the great Shiites.”
