عمارة الجوامع والقبور والمشاهد في مدينة واسط في كتابات الرحالة العرب والمسلمين (132-656هـ/ 750-1258م)

Abstract

Like other Islamic cities, Wasit contained many mosques. The most famous ones are Al-Hajaj Mosque in the western side of the city and Mousa Ibn Bagha in the eastern side. Travelers that visited the city pointed out to these mosques without reference to the architectural details or the shape of the buildings. Yet those travelers noticed  many  graves and scenes which were exquisitely flourishing  in that age.
