The article describes the specifics of the texts of modern Russian mass media, which are characterized by the use of numerous terms. When translating Russian media terms into Arabic, the lexical and terminological inconsistency of heterogeneous languages is manifested. Therefore, this study describes examples of the importance of specifying media terms when translating from Russian into Arabic, taking into account the cliches generally accepted in the language environment.
