Life Pressures and its Relationship with Social Adjustment Field research of Syrian Workers in the City of Erbil

Abstract

This research deals with life pressures and their relations to the social adaptation of Syrian workers who work in Erbil, Iraq. The question of research has identified an independent variable (Life pressures), and a dependent variable (social adjustment). It is trying to identify the pressures against workers, according to research variables: sex, scientific qualifications, age, quality housing, Social status, monthly income, working hours, and workplace. Identifying the kind of living pressures that are exposed to workers. Identifying the relationship between life pressures with the dimensions of social adaptation, despite identifying the relationship between life pressures and Social adaptation to Syrian workers. which are determined by (377) Syrian workers, divisions as kasnazan Industry (76), Restaurants (71), Hemn group (42), Malls (101), Southern Industry (41), and North Industry (46). And using the statistical package (SPSS) for analyzing data. Some of the research results came as follows. It became clear, according to their works, males are subjected to more pressure than females. As well as graduates more than illiterate are under pressure because graduates were employed in Syria and after migration, they are working in the field of construction. We found out that the majority of workers suffer from bad supervisors in their work, that is, their supervisors recoup them for any work mistake, and sometimes forced them to work for additional hours without pay. and have a moral relationship between life pressures and social adaptation, as whenever pressure increases in samples, adaptation declines, and vice versa.
