Features of the Theory of Speech Acts in the Arab Heritage: Ya Ali Novel by Youssef Heday as a Model

The Arabs have a prominent role, and great efforts in developing the beginnings of this wonderful theory, and if the terms differed over time between ancient concepts and modern conventions, this does not mean that the efforts of Arab scholars were not clear, and they have no place in this great philosophical and linguistic edifice. The Arabs do not study abstractly from the context and the situation, and do not study in isolation from the intention of the speaker. This identification is in the concept of John Austen and his student Searle in the sense of direct speech acts, which does not match reality in the sense of indirect speech acts in Western pragmatic thought. The research shows the efforts of Arab scholars, as it dealt with the speech acts of the rhetoricians, the grammarians, and the scholars of origins, and then the efforts of the Arab scholars in dividing the direct and indirect speech acts.
