Many medical texts were written during the Otoman era. Most of these texts were written in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences. This type of study is of great value in terms of demonstrating the medical understanding of this period. It is also important for medical history research of historical medical texts is increasing day by day. One of the most famous scientists is Dr. Omar Shafa’i, who is considered the most skilled chief physician in Bursa. He was proficient in the sciences of the body. One of his most prominent works is the masterpiece of (The body in Medical Compounds). He lived and died in the Turkish city of Bursa.
