Between the Narrations of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) and the Slanders of Orientalists, the Prophet's (PBUH) Marriage to Sayyida Zainab bint Jahsh

One of the women who had the distinction of marrying the Noble Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) was Sayyida Zainab bint Jahsh. Thus, by this union she became the mother of all believers in every time and place. This blessed marriage was debated among Muslim scholars who relied on the Israelites and recorded them in their books; then Orientalists came and discovered these flimsies, fabricated, and scattered reports in Islamic heritage books and worked to reveal and publish them to degrade the Noble Messenger's status (PBUH). The imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) countered these false narrations of the Prophet (PBUH), corrected the path, and clarified the purpose of that marriage, which was hidden from many Muslim scholars, so that they would thus be a safe fortress to defend the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) in the face of false and deceptive narrations that tried to defame the personality of the Noble Prophet (PBUH). This study consisted of three sections. The first section was reviewed for the narrations of historians and commentators regarding the marriage of the Prophet (PBUH) to Mrs. Zainab bint Jahsh, while we dealt with the second section of the role of orientalists in employing these narrations to degrade the personality of the Prophet (PBUH). In the last section, the reviewed the narratives of the Imams of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their role in confronting the Israelites.
