The Political Employment of Women in Ancient Greek Myths and Epics

Abstract

The research "Political Employment of Women in Ancient Greek Myths and Epics" sheds light on the political role of women by employing them to be a political player sometimes in a positive way, as in the story of the King of Athens Odysseus with his wife Penelope, and King Agamemnon, King of Messinia and the nature of his relationship with his wife Clytemnestra, as this epic relationship bore a depiction The great role that falls on the shoulders of women in the political aspect and their becoming a positive player, as portrayed by Odysseus' relationship with Penelope and negative at other times, as in Agamemnon's relationship with his wife Clytemnestra. Based on this concept, the research discussed the role of women and the mechanism by which this vital element was employed politically through ancient Greek myths and epics. Greek mythology, Finley, the world of Odysseus and Nehardt, the gods and heroes of ancient Greece, the ancient Greek epic regarding translated works, and the one in English (Peter Parley, Tales About the Mythology of Greece and Rome), (Robert Graves, The Greek Myths).
