Variation in the Speed South-Western and Western Winds between Spring and Autumn Seasons in Iraq

Abstract

South- western and western winds are among the important types of winds in the directional circle, as they have a clear impact on Iraq, and on its climatic   characteristics, especially during the spring and autumn seasons in the statement of the difference in the speed of these winds during the two seasons, the monthly rates for this type and for all the climate stations included in the study were relied upon during a period of (30) years. The study showed that there is the clear discrepancy between the two seasons of the equinox when comparing them in the speed of the south- western and western winds, as a result of their being affected by several factors.
