The poet Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Al-Waeli (May God have mercy on him) assumed himself in the hearts of the Arab world in general and the Iraqis with his distinctive style, so his ideas echoed in the religious, social, political, and cultural reality. Where he addressed the concerns of his country and his criticism of the political and social reality that his people lived. Among the most important things covered in this study is the statement of the religious symbol in his poetry, as it emerged in all its forms in his collections, as well as the study of the conditions that were the fertile environment for the emergence of the religious symbolism of the poet, and the most prominent poetic texts whose religious symbolism was prominent and evident in his words and the consideration of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) A model of religious symbolism in his poems
