Cultural criticism in the contemporary plastic discourse

Abstract

       The current research is an attempt to investigate the insides, trends and methods of artistic texts by linking them to cultural criticism or civilization criticism, which is the criticism of a culture on root grounds. Often this criticism is intertwined from a social point of view with the theory of culture and it deals with the idea of ​​revealing the implicit cultural systems, in society and culture, and therefore it is sequential and simultaneous at the same time, as it strikes in the depth of civilization and contributes to determining the cumulative cultural destination, and on the other hand it monitors the immediate developments For a cultural act.

The current research consists of four chapters. The first chapter of the research includes an introduction to the research problem, the importance of research and the need for it. As for the aim of the research, it was determined to identify the concepts and characteristics of cultural criticism in the contemporary plastic discourse. The researcher analyzed the most important terms mentioned in the research. The second chapter included two topics. The first represents cultural criticism: the concept and characteristics.

As for the second topic, it was covered. Embedded patterns in postmodern art movements.

As for the third chapter, it contained the research procedures and included, the research community, sample selection and analysis, which amount to (5) models.

The research adopted the descriptive and analytical approach in analyzing the sample. The fourth chapter came with the results of the research and conclusions as well as recommendations and proposals, and among the most prominent findings of the researcher.

1. The products of postmodern arts reveal in their apparent formats the dominance of implicit systems that represent the true motives of the artist and the recipient and which represent a reflection of the social and economic conditions in globalization and postmodern societies.

1. The styles of postmodern artistic expression varied with the changing trends and ideas of creators who express their positions on the world of speed, consumption and cross-cultural media.
