“The efforts Abdel-Ali Al-Wdughairi in the historical lexicon”

Abstract

      The study of the lexicon is an important communication tool, both ancient and modern. Historical Dictionary Despite the projects and steps taken by linguists to accomplish, it is difficult to implement easily. In light of the above, the study seeks to track the efforts of the linguistic scholar Abdul Ali Al-Dughairi in the historical lexicon by demonstrating the concept of the lexicon, its functions, types, importance, and the most important elements upon which it is based, the difference between the historical and dramatic lexicon, and the plan he has developed to accomplish the historical lexicon. One of the Arab lexicons who devoted an important part of their efforts to winning a historical dictionary that     preserves the Arabic language.
