Linguistic errors are a problem faced by many writers and specialists, both native and non-native Arabic speakers, and they hinder the communication process because they affect the overall structure of the sentence, such as errors in word order within the sentence, and other partial errors. Linguistic errors have even become commonplace in books and official correspondence.
Since language is a social, intellectual, and cultural system that contributes to a nation's development and progress, its misuse in writing has led to its decline and regression. Undoubtedly, Arabic is the language of the Holy Quran, destined to endure and remain so by the grace of God Almighty. It plays a vital role in people's lives, serving as the means of communication for members of society to express their thoughts and fulfill their needs.
Since ancient times, Arabs have been meticulous in ensuring that their writings and correspondence are written correctly and accurately, as these reflect the character of the writer and the place from which the letters and correspondence originate. The Arabic language possesses unique grammatical and spelling rules, along with aesthetic features that have made it superior to any other language in the beauty of its meaning and structure, thus highlighting its distinct identity. However, the multiplicity of spelling rules and their associated difficulties have led many individuals to make spelling mistakes. Therefore, it is essential to study and understand these rules to avoid errors and ensure the correct and accurate writing of words and sentences.
Official documents are among the most important organizational tools for every state institution, without which administrative work would be impossible. They serve as the link between departments, a means of conveying ideas and achieving desired goals, and the basis for issuing orders and rulings. They represent the public face of every department and institution; therefore, official departments are required to communicate in standard Arabic, free from grammatical errors.
