Abstract

Among the activities of the Arabic language department, which focuses on both form and content, attention was given to content editing and selecting the most suitable material for researchers investigating linguistic errors, commensurate with their specialized roles and high capabilities. Attention was also given to form by identifying linguistic errors that those responsible for editing books might make. Given that we live in an age characterized by speed and brevity, there is sometimes no time to pause in our work to consider a particular phrase, to review its formulation and the soundness of its linguistic structure, especially the overall framework of the document, whether it be a linguistic discourse, a literary article, an administrative document, or an official letter in general. Nor is there time to consider the appropriateness of choosing the right word for the intended meaning. Consequently, we are inundated with numerous administrative documents, correspondence, and everything used in institutions and official communications that contains many linguistic errors, which are not in keeping with the correct and appropriate form of our eloquent Arabic language. These are common linguistic errors that we have diligently investigated, collected, and compared with their correct linguistic forms.  They deviate from the rules of the Arabic language in it, and take into account the linguistic origin in it when the Arabs speak.
