Abstract

This study aimed to demonstrate how the concepts of the self and the other self are embodied in the novel (Zeinab, Mary, and Yasmin) by the novelist Maysalun Hadi, which addresses diverse issues including social and emotional themes, as well as the representation of the image of the self and the other self and the significant contexts in which they emerge. Furthermore, the study sought to elucidate the self’s perception of both itself and the other self.

The study also examined the technique of employing artificial intelligence technology, which has established a pivotal role in delineating the boundaries of modern literary productions. It concluded that there exists an inseparable relationship between the self and the other self; the self cannot come to know itself without the other self.

The findings revealed that modern technology has significantly influenced the Arabic language in contemporary Arabic literature. These influences are evident in the emergence of new terminologies and shifts in the patterns of Arabic language usage. Translated and foreign terms—such as the Internet, artificial intelligence, computing, networks, and communications with its various branches—have acquired a notable presence within narrative, poetic, and all forms of creative writing.
