The Tasbih of Fatimah al-Zahra (PBUH) and Its Role in Confronting Psychological Warfare from a Qur’anic Perspective

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Tasbih of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (PBUH) as a Qur’anic devotional method in confronting psychological warfare. It highlights its role as an effective spiritual tool that enhances inner peace and resilience against psychological challenges. The research sheds light on the Tasbih taught to Lady al-Zahra (PBUH) by the Noble Prophet (PBUH) as a profound act of worship that aids in dealing with psychological pressures and verbal confrontations, which carry the characteristics of psychological warfare.

The study employs an inductive approach to analyze Qur’anic texts addressing Tasbih and its spiritual and psychological dimensions, alongside an analytical method to interpret its meanings and effects. The findings reveal the deep dimensions of Tasbih as a Qur’anic means contributing to psychological tranquility, countering anxiety, distress, and intrusive thoughts.

The study concludes that the Tasbih of Fatimah al-Zahra (PBUH) is not merely a personal act of worship but a comprehensive life methodology reflecting authentic Qur’anic values in confronting psychological challenges. It is not just a verbal act of worship but an integrated approach that fosters inner peace and serves as a profound spiritual and educational practice that elevates a Muslim’s life. It also provides an exceptional capacity to withstand crises. Furthermore, this Tasbih embodies a deep pedagogical dimension, advocating for its adoption as a means of psychological fortification against the prevailing psychological warfare in contemporary life. It represents a model of Islamic psychological guidance applicable in daily life to combat anxiety and depression—two of the most significant psychological challenges of our time.
