STORY THE "DEATH OF AN EMPIOYEE" A.P. CHEKHOV TURNS INTO A "HOT DAY" IN BAGHDAD

In world literature, the power of storytelling to transcend cultural boundaries and illuminate shared human experience is often found in the most unexpected of motifs. This paper attempts to explore this phenomenon by delving into the thematic and cultural intersections between the Russian short story by A.P. Chekhov's " Death of an employee " and the Iraqi interpretation of Awatif Naim "Hot Day". Both narratives, although emerging from different cultural and temporal backgrounds, converge around the seemingly ordinary act of sneezing, which unfolds into profound reflections on social structures, human behavior.
