Abstract

Despite the fact that body language has been a form of human expression since the earliest days of his existence on earth, it has evolved into a modern science with its own unique principles and, rules. It has garnered the attention of scholars and proponents who have unequivocally emphasized its importance in conveying inner thoughts and understanding human relationships in unconventional and unfamiliar ways.

In this context, the research titled "Body Language in Nuzuluhu wa Khayt al-Shaytan by Samir Naqqash - A Psycho/Cultural Approach" seeks to investigate how Naqqash makes use of body language within his novel. The research examines the interactive relationship between the art of novel-writing, psychological analysis, and culture. The objective is to reaffirm the novel's receptivity to various dimensions of human experience and scientific inquiry. Additionally, it aims to demonstrate the novelist's prowess in employing innovative narrative techniques that enrich and advance the art of storytelling, thus making it more impactful for the reader.

Furthermore, this research underscores Naqqash's broad horizons and creative tools, his capacity to diversify narrative approaches, and how all of this can be harnessed in the context of engaging the other in a conflict asserting one's identity and sense of subject. This is particularly relevant when body language, through a psycho/cultural lens, is associated with a specific ideology, culture, or identity.
