Motherhood in the poetry of Al-Hutai'a : A study in the cultural Criticism

Abstract

The woman represents half of the society and that the creative text or language does not favor anyone, whether it is male or female, but rather the language biases the creator. Language is not racist or exclusionary, but rather it is the entity of freedom and the source of inspiration, or the house of existence. The man tried to conquer the woman when he was in the primitive life that is based on the survival instinct, and the strongest is the one who bears its risks based on a previous conviction that the physical structure of the man is stronger than what it is in the woman. The male dominance has become expanding in the social space, and that the virile culture is a state of recognition and legitimacy that has turned into class discrimination, and away from psychological analysis. Cultural criticism played its role in this research in revealing the implications of the presence of the maternity pattern in Al-Hutay’a’s poetry, as it is a strange paradox that Al-Hutay’a’s dealings with the presence of women in his poetry were a special case in terms of satire or degrading the dignity of those he spelled, so he satirized his mother and described her with bad descriptions .
