تركز هذه الدراسة حول موضوع دلالات القوة والشموخ في بعض المنحوتات العراقية القديمة محاولة لتسليط الضوء على نتاجات الفنان العراقي القديم حول ماهية تلك الأعمال وما تحمله من أبعاد لمشاهدها الفنيه كانت دلالات القوة والشموخ أحد تلك الرموز التي عبرت عنها تلك المنحوتات بصورة واضحه أو عن طريق ايحاءت ولمسات اضافها النحات العراقي القديم وفق رؤيته لموضوع معين انعكاساً كان لظاهره أو تسقيط حقيقة ما في عمله الفني. فالفن العراقي القديم أحتوى في طيات مشاهده الفنية على مجموعة من المواضيع كانت تعبيراً ذاتياً في بعض الأحيان لرؤية الفنان ومخيلته أو انعكاساً لصفات شخصية في المجتمع أو كانت تلبيةً لرغبات السلطتين الدينية والسياسية محاوله منهما للتعبير وتوظيف مواضيع تنقل تطلعاتها وأفكارها تفرض عن طريقها هيمنها في المجتمع عاكسةً ما تتمتع به من مكانة سامية مرموقه كانت دلالات القوة والشموخ أحدى تلك المواضيع التي تضمنتها المنحوتات الفنية.
