Abstract

Social and political conditions of Arab nations in contemporary period caused poets to use symbols  to express their own feelings  and thoughts.On the other handthereligious heritageis of all nationsa source ofpoeticinspirationAndinmanyofhis literary workshave usedit.that Oneof the most importantreligious symbols, prophets. Libyacontemporary poetsin the use ofsymboliccharacterof the prophets, according to the characteristics oftheir lifetomatchthe symbolswiththeir currentlifeof theircommunity.

This descriptive analytical study, symbolic of the prophets in the poetry ofcontemporary poets Libya such as Ali Alfzany .Ali Alkhrm, Jilani Trybshan, Idris al-Tayeb, Abdel-Hamid Btav. Abdul – Majid Alghamodi Saleh. Amongthecontemporary poetsLibyaprophetssymbolicallypresentedto themin his workscan beJesus Christ (PBUH), Prophet Noah(AS), Prophet Yusuf(AS), HazratAdam(AS) and Hazrat Mahdi(as)Cited.
