This research, entitled "The Role of Andalusian Women in Shaping the Literary Scene: Examples of Female Poets and Writers," examines the effectiveness of women's presence in Andalusian literature, moving beyond the traditional view that confined women to the role of muse or poetic object. The research problem stemmed from a fundamental question about the extent of women's ability to create an independent and influential literary identity within a unique social and political environment.
The research adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and was divided into three main sections; The first section addressed the environmental, cultural, and educational foundations that honed women's talent, while the second presented case studies of three prominent literary figures (Wallada bint al-Mustakfi, Hafsa al-Rakuniyya, and Buthayna bint al-Mu'tamid). The third section was dedicated to analyzing the artistic and aesthetic characteristics of their poetic output.
