The Impact of Street Culture on a Child's Personality

We must realistically acknowledge that the street institution, at present and perhaps to a significant extent in the future, will monopolize or control the upbringing of our children and possibly adults as well, given that it is the only institution that adapts to the particularities of social change and transformation, thereby catering to individuals’ needs and, more than that, offering numerous temptations. Therefore, attention to this institution and thinking about how to utilise it in the service of children’s upbringing—and why not, adults too—is crucial, in terms of architectural design, aesthetic and artistic design, relational and legal structure, and ways of moving and navigating the street as an important social institution.
