Hisham ibn al-Hakam and his theological views on monotheism, prophethood and imamate

This research deals with the personality of Hisham ibn al-Hakam and his theological ideas, and highlights the importance of studying him as one of the most prominent Shiite thinkers in theology during his era. The research aims to clarify his views on the issues of monotheism, prophethood, and imamate. In addition to reviewing his intellectual contributions and debates in defense of Shiite beliefs..
The researchers relied on the historical analytical approach, which enabled them to trace and analyze Hisham's life and theological positions. The research was divided into three main axes: the first: on the science of theology and its historical origins; the second: deals with the life of Hisham bin Al-Hakam and his writings; and the third: focuses on his theological views on the issues of monotheism, prophecy, and imamate. Some results show that Hisham bin Al-Hakam enjoyed a prestigious position among the imams of the Ahl al-Bayt, which earned him great trust and support in his community. He was also known for his deep criticism and ability to argue, and for his prominent role in defending the idea of the imamate and its necessity for leading the nation. Hisham represents a symbol of Shiite theologians, as he relied on reason in his theological deductions, and left a clear impact on Islamic thought through his distinction between prophecy and imamate, and the importance of using logic and reason in proving beliefs.
