Abstract

There is no doubt that the issue of education of the Native Americans "American Indians" in the United States of America is one of the important topics of its relevance to important historical events contributed to the construction of American society intellectually and humanely, The issue of educating the Indians or the Native Americans was not merely a matter of culture or education, but was motivated by political, economic and even cultural motives. The settlers wanted a "collective cultural genocide", Which prompted the settlers to build an educational system that is not in the interest of the Native Americans and their culture and even history, which the Indians have realized and long resisted in an unstable political, security and social environment, Which caused many problems and wars between them and the European settlers, and therefore in this research we will try to identify some attempts to teach Indians by the settlers during the period from 1776 to 1892, a period witnessed by the action of both parties, the settlers and the Native Americans.
