Abstract

The research revolves around (the role of voice and recitation in creating an auditory image for middle school students), as voice and recitation are the basic pillar in the modern era, because written speech is devoid of expressions and feelings and is treated as an image, and it is a tool for the speaker (student) that enables him to convey the idea of ​​the text through recitation to produce an auditory presentation that instills moral and educational values ​​in the recipient. The study consisted of four chapters: The first, as the research problem crystallized with the following question (What are the characteristics of voice and recitation?): - The aim of the research: to identify the role of voice and recitation in creating an auditory image for middle school students. As for the second chapter: It is divided into two sections: the first: the concept of voice and its characteristics. The second: characteristics of recitation, types of recitation, and the second chapter ended with indicators of the theoretical framework that the researcher adopted as a tool for analyzing his research samples, and among those indicators: 1- The performer's ability to have a strong voice, control breathing, and master vocal diversification means that he has a wide and influential vocal range.

2- Vocal performance methods and their use in recitation help the performer to convey the appropriate idea of ​​the text if the performance style matches the idea of ​​the text. 3- Vocal performance is related to the recipient's understanding according to the age group and its connection to emotional memory, for the purpose of conveying the idea of ​​the text; The third chapter (research procedures) came to analyze the selected research samples represented by three illustrated literary texts (recitation) which are (Al-Istisqa), (Prepare for the aging of age), and (The sermon of Qass bin Sa'ida), which were part of the (Art of Recitation) competition held by the Ministry of Education, the General Directorate of Sports and School Activities, which was held in 2024 in the city of Sulaymaniyah. The festival included delivering these sermons in several ways and dialogue sessions, with the participation of all general directorates in Iraq.
