Abstract

The research ( Explanation in the German language in comparison with the Arabic language , an analytical study in form and function) deals with the subject of a comparative description of the structure of explanation in the German language and their equivalent in the Arabic language , and this study is inspired by the fact that the purpose in the German language is due to concept of causation in the broader meaning, but there is no concept of Purpose in the Arabic language, rather there is the explanation that combines cause and purpose. This is what led to the study of the subject in a contrasting manner.

The aim of this research is to assert if there are similarities or differences between the two languages in the concept of purpose and the nature of the grammatical structures in both languages. The most important finding of the research is that there is a grammatical similarity between German and Arabic by reasoning in letters, sentences and conjunctions of sentences. Also, some structures of the purpose in the German language cab be translated by explanatory structures into Arabic while there are some structures of explanation in the German language that are not translated by the equivalent in the German language. It's translational equivalent is the verb (gewiß ) for example, the translation of verse 38 of Surah Abraham (( All praise is for Allah who has blessed me with Ishmael and Isaac in my old age. My Lord is indeed the Hearer of all prayers.))

(( Alles Lob gehört Allah, Der mir trotz meines hohen Alters Ismail und Ishaq geschenkt hat! Gewiß, mein Herr ist wahrlich der Erhörerdes Gebets)).

Many of the structures of explanation in the German language, whether they are explanation in sentences, letters, or adverbs have their translation equivalent in the Arabic language is a semi- sentence (for that or that or for a purpose).

At the conclusion of the research, hoping that it will be useful for the possibility of understanding the structures of reasoning in the German language for Arabic learners.
