Abstract

This paper attempts to explore Approaching the features of institutional violence in Rasmiah Muhibis novel "Kahinat Maebad 'Uwr", and highlighting the violations practiced by social, political and cultural institutions in order to achieve their demands and desires and impose authority by force, exclusion and marginalization, and this is what novel texts after (2003) have always approached, as they worked to expose reality and denounce the crimes committed against individuals at all political, social and cultural levels.

The sociological study is one of the influential tools in analyzing the literary text, especially novels , by revealing morals, customs, and social phenomena, because the novel is an experience in which the creator and recipient share the same social class, seeking to reach a solution to the social problems in which the Iraqi/southern society lived, and which were depicted in the novel.
