The phenomenon of child marriage represents a significant social issue that has persisted throughout history, influenced by prevailing cultural, religious, and social norms. This study highlights the critical role of social stability and the integrity of the family, which serves as the foundational unit for socialization and the primary environment for nurturing future generations who contribute to societal development and growth. This research specifically examines the plight of minor girls subjected to early marriage within the Iraqi Jewish community prior to 1950. Through a detailed analysis of the novel "Barhumi Barhumi" by Iraqi Jewish author Salam Darwish, this study explores the enduring impact of child marriage on these young girls and their persistent attachment to their childhood.
