Association and its psychological impact on the images of poets (Examples of pre-Islamic poetry)

Abstract

The research deals with the study of sad psychological states in which images collide and the poet struggles with them to create harmony between two worlds, the first of which is his psychological (inner) world, and the second is reality (the external world), according to an urgent need that drives him to do so. The feeling remains ambiguous in the soul and cannot be reached. Only after it is formed into images that follow one another, to become expressive of his thoughts and feelings, and the embodiment of the poetic experience. Accordingly, the association of the image becomes the basis on which the poem is based, and its artistic essence. The poet looks at the images that represent his thoughts and feelings, in response to the mutual interaction between ideas, in their experimental dimension, and vision in its sensory and visual meaning and the combination of the mental and emotional responses, as it is based on verbal use and the connotations of the images. The pictorial association was embodied in the most prominent themes of the pre-Islamic poem that refers to Sadness in our research is like the collapse of the image of ruins, the collapse of the image of gray hair, and the collapse of the image of death
