The Portrayal of the Past and Its Reflection in the Poems of Larisa Miller and Vera Pavlova

In this research, we conducted a comparative analysis of works by two contemporary poets, Larisa Miller and Vera Pavlova. Both lived before and after the collapse of the Soviet Union. We found that Larisa Miller's portrayal of the past in her works reflects her perceptions of Soviet life and experiences during that era. The depiction of nature plays a significant role in expressing attitudes towards the past. Vera Pavlova, on the other hand, conveys her stance on the past through life experiences, infusing her works with emotions, sentiments, and personal visions. Her portrayal of the past is laden with feelings, stirring readers to empathize with her heartfelt poetry.
