Abstract

       The battles of the siege in the walls of the cities, is important in change of the balance of political forces, more than open battles, outside the border of cities. and the victory in the storming of the walls after the siege of cities, that is means the fall of political power in those cities. the importance of those battles, especially in the old Babylonian period, the period of the many political forces of the Amorian tribes, and the conflict between them, the historical recordings as royal letters have become the best source for the details of those battles.
