The Role of Practice Culture in Knowledge Management for Faculty at Sumer University: An Analytical Study

Abstract

The study aims to identify the role of organizational culture at Sumer University and knowledge management practices from the perspective of faculty members. The researcher used the descriptive-analytical approach in this study due to its suitability. The researcher relied on a questionnaire as the primary tool for data collection. This questionnaire was administered to a sample of (60) faculty members at Sumer University. The sample was randomly selected electronically via Google Drive via a link distributed to the study sample.

 The study reached the following results:

  1. The level of knowledge management at Sumer University, as perceived by faculty members, was low, with an arithmetic mean of (1.53) and a standard deviation of (0.63). This indicates weak knowledge management practices at the university.
  2. The prevailing organizational culture at Sumer University, as perceived by faculty members, was average, as evidenced by the overall arithmetic mean of (1.64) and a standard deviation of (0.72).
