This study examines the phenomena of semantic displacement following a rhetorical notion and a style that reflects the meanings in a novel and inventive manner inside the poetry text. As displacement is perceived either as an assault on stable, stagnant literary units and a breach of habit, or as an elicitation of the neighborhood and a rejection of embalming, adherence, and imitation. Semantic displacement does not produce poetry, it opposes the use of words with their lexical conditions and serious templates. Semantic displacement is one of the phenomena that reorganizes and reformulates the poetic text uniquely and differently. This study is divided into two sections, as for the first section, consisted of an explanation of the notion of displacement and its linguistic and idiomatic definition. As well as the notion of semantic (figurative) displacement and its relationship to the internal structure of the text. The second section is an applied analysis of the concept of displacement and how it functions in poetry texts, particularly the texts of (Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab). By providing the types of semantic displacement, such as semantic displacement and substitutional displacement, and explaining the phenomena of semantic displacements, such as phonetic repetition, verbal repetition, and literal repetition of specific words, the author describes displacement. The study's findings demonstrate the manifestations of Semantic displacement in the poetry of (Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab) and their importance in developing a new rhythmic framework for the poetic text through the manifestations of displacement, which deepen the text's poetics.
