Abstract

The city of Maraga is regarded as one of the Islamic cities that witnessed great scientific movement in the seventeenth and the eighteenth for Hijrah, it has become the attraction focus if the scholars and fakihs and from various places and in different sciences, intellectual.

The fall of the Abbasid caliphs (Baghdad) 656/1258 made city of Maraga attain an important position, as a result of the migration of the scholars to the city and making it the capital of Azerbaijan and the interest of the Mogul leaders. It I fame increased with the establishment of schools and faculties and a library.  The sheikh Nassir Aldin Al-toussi (671 A.H/ 1273 AC) supervised  its establishment and the scientific life,.

The study was based on a group of related themes and on the political life of city of Maraga as well as the most important cultural institution, scholars who visited the city and their products.
